Bring the Joy of the Holidays Home by Fostering a Pet in Need
Lawrenceburg, TN – 10/29/2024 – This holiday season, The Doggie House invites community members and families to make a difference through its “Home for the Holidays” foster program, giving shelter animals a warm, loving environment during the festivities. Through this initiative, the community can temporarily foster dogs, cats, or other pets, providing them a break from the shelter while enjoying companionship over the holidays.
“The holiday season is all about family and love, and what better way to celebrate than by opening your home to an animal in need?” said Ginger Morgan, Manager of The Doggie House. “Fostering a pet over the holidays allows people to make a meaningful impact, and it’s a chance for our animals to experience the love and care of a home.”
Participants in “Home for the Holidays” will receive all necessary supplies, including food, bedding, and toys. Shelter staff will also provide support to foster families throughout the holiday season, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for both pets and humans alike.
This program not only helps animals experience the warmth of a home during this time of year but also eases shelter capacity. In many cases, fostered animals find permanent homes through these temporary arrangements, as foster families or their extended networks fall in love with their holiday guests.
